Defining Beauty: Ms. Wheelchair America", narrated by Golden Globe winner Katey Sagal, showcases the vibrant lives of five women with disabilities on their journey to the 2010 Ms. Wheelchair America pageant where the concept of beauty is defined through the lens of advocacy and perseverance. We are aiming to break stigmas about people with disabilities and bring greater awareness to the pageant. Defining Beauty will premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
“The Death of Toys” is bitter-sweet short about a single mother who doesn't want to grow up. Her son has declared he is "too old for toys" at the ripe age of 10, but she resists this late childhood rite of passage. Ultimately, she has to grow up herself and in doing so, learns to face her own mortality. The Death of Toys won the Best Narrative Short Film Award at the Winnipeg Real to Reel Festival. It was an Official Selection at the Cleveland International Film Festival where it played to sold out crowds.
